CRM Advantage has helped many clients implement salesforce.com successfully by using the native functionality of salesforce.com.  However, there have been many clients demonstrate a need to insert business specific logic to help manage or reinforce their processes in salesforce.com; which is taken care of by inserting custom code, in the form of sControls**, Visualforce or Apex Triggers, into salesforce.com to handle the requirement.

The CRM Advantage custom development life cycle is as follows:

  • Requirement Gathering and documentation
  • Prototyping
  • Coding with code comments
  • Deployment
  • Testing
Google Development Services:
  • Organizational assessments and planning analysis
  • Integration of Google Apps with Salesforce or other applications
  • Custom developed solutions to enhance and extend Google Apps
  • Extension of functionality through Google APIs

One of the first things clients ask us is "Where do I begin; what questions do I need to ask?".  Below is a short list of questions to get you started, and enough information for us to begin the process of figuring out a solution:

  1. Describe the business problem
  2. What step do you take today to input the data gathered in trying to solve this problem?
  3. How many steps (number) does it take?
  4. What salesforce.com objects/fields in are a part of this business problem?
  5. Describe how you envision the new process working

Note: Inserting business logic into salesforce.com requires that you have the Enterprise or Unlimited Edition of salesforce.com.

**salesforce.com has issued a statement that they will no longer support sControl after January 2010.  CRM Advantage is committed to salesforce.com and does not recommend the creation of sControl but instead recommends using Apex and Visualforce.
